Job Description
- Operate and maintain performance of waste water plant to the highest level. Keep all equipment clean (e.g., DAF cells, assorted pumps and valves, conveyors and mechanical drive components) associated with the waste water treatment facility.
- Make adjustments as needed to waste water to make it cleanliest possible.
- Take weekly inventory and order chemicals as needed.
- Interact with City officials in a professional manner.
- May be required to clean areas as requested
- General cleaning and/or assisting other departments if required.
- Maintain safety, housekeeping, sanitation and disease control requirements while performing job duties.
Qualifications
- Must be able and willing to work rotating Tuesday –Saturday work weeks and weekends.
- Must have excellent attendance and excellent safe work habits.
- Must be able to lift 5- 50lbs.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods (8-10 hours) on concrete/metal grate floors.
- Must be to follow instructions and perform with minimal supervioion.
- Ability to work in wet, cold and/or hot environment
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs and work on elevated platforms
