Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking Bilingual (Spanish/English) Field Interviewers to work on a research study throughout the state of California. You will work on the field component of a survey where staff will be responsible for listing and subsequently interviewing households around Redding and Crescent City area. Data collection will take place between January-August 2020 with the possibility of continuing until October 2020.

Part-time 16-30 hours per week. Position requires some evening and weekend hours, driving to and from the field interviewing sites (mileage reimbursed at federal mileage rate), walking, and climbing stairs. All candidates must be available to participate in a paid training course from January 6-January 11 in Santa Monica.ÂTravel, lodging, and meals during training will be paid. All candidates must be available for the duration of the project.
As a Bilingual Interviewer, you will:
Drive to designated street blocks to list housing units on each block
Talk directly with household residents to verify the home address and the number of separate households at the same street address
Administer brief survey to the head of household
Use tablets provided for data collection to data enter information and transmit data back to the home office
Meet with supervisor regularly both by phone and in-person
Encourage participation in the study

Qualifications:
Bilingual English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking)
Motivated self-starter comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Comfortable traveling to and working with at risk and underserved populations in a range of community and neighborhood settings
Exceptional time-management, organizational, and record keeping skills
Prior survey research, address listing, data collection, or related professional experience preferred
Employment Requirements:
Valid drivers license, proof of auto insurance, and a dependable car
Pass a background check (includes DMV) and conflict of interest screening
Successfully complete mandatory, paid training
Must be able to drive to and from field interviewing sites (located in diverse neighborhoods)
Must be able to read street maps
Available during evenings and weekends
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
