Top Redding Manufacturing company seeking Full Time CAD Drafter.
The CAD Drafter will work in conjunction with project managers and production to create accurate fabrication drawings using both AutoCAD and Inventor (3d Modeling Software) as well as evenutually programming for CNC machines using CAM software such as SigmaNEST. The position will involve some aspects of estimating, sales, and customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
-Creates drawings based on information provided by the customer and project manager, architectural drawings, construction specifications and shop drawings
-Creates program code using computer-aided- manufacturing (CAM) software.
- Consults with customers, vendors, or SAF employees to create drawings.
-Assesses/troubleshoots areas of vagueness in architectural drawings in conjunction with project manager to provide viable options for fabrication.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
-Minimum of two years of previous experience as a CAD/INVENTOR drafter or equivalent education.
-High level of computer skills is mandatory (AutoCAD, Inventor, SigmaNEST, Office, Outlook, Acrobat, Explorer, etc.).
-Ability to accurately read architectural drawings and shop drawings.
-Good reading, math, and reasoning skills as demonstrated by a written assessment.
-Great communication skills.
-Ability to work independently and with other personnel.
PAY / SCHEDULE:
-The pay rate for CAD Drafter position starts at $20-$22 /hour depending on experience.
-The work schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
