Butler Engineering Group, Inc. is a well-established, growing engineering firm looking to recruit an individual to fill the position of Structural Design Engineer. A candidate who has field experience performing structural inspections for buildings and/or commercial projects is preferred. The responsibilities of this person will include but not be limited to design, engineering, drafting, client relations, project inspections, and site meetings. This person will be responsible for all tasks involved in taking a project from inception to completion.
This is primarily a design engineering position where the work consists of 50% engineering & calculations, 30% drafting and 20% field/site visits.
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
1. Civil/Structural or related Engineering degree from an accredited institution,
2. 2+ years minimum post-graduation experience working for a professional engineering firm (this does not mean internships),
3. E.I.T or P.E,
4. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office,
5. Experience with AutoCAD 2016 or later version.
Candidates must be fast learners, ambitious, interested in professional growth and the potential for promotion. Candidates must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates will be required to comply with company standards and protocols relating to drawing structure, file management structure and layer management. The position requires a motivated individual who enjoys diverse structural projects.
