State Fund is looking for a Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster to proactively manage and control an inventory of disability and maintenance cases, identify and resolve issues, and document cases timely and accurately. As a workers' compensation claims adjuster you will have the opportunity to make a positive, impactful difference in the lives of injured workers, while being exposed to new challenges daily, and never suffer from the dreaded work boredom.
Additionally, as a Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster you will be responsible for:
Ensuring timely and accurate liability decisions and benefit provisions
Ensuring Return to Work implementation
Participating in the Claims Training program and act as a training resource
Provide professional public relations/customer service
Review and evaluate case information to identify issues AOE/COE (liability) decisions and referrals within the team inventory
Travel to other locations as necessary
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Four (4) years of experience performing workers' compensation claims adjusting OR
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college with a bachelor's degree
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Outstanding customer service skills
Ability to prioritize and organize time sensitive tasks
Knowledge of DWC Laws and regulations relating to claims adjusting is a huge plus!
Ability to negotiate credibly and persuasively
Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and evaluate information to make and support decisions
Ability to handle and/or resolve difficult/sensitive situations
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with all stakeholders across all levels Â
