VESTRA Resources Inc. is seeking candidates for a JavaScript Software Developer / Programmer. Duties include developing both windows and web applications for various clients. GIS development experience using Esri's suite of products is preferred. This position is full-time and located at VESTRA's headquarters in Redding, California. Telecommuting is not permitted for this position.
Ideal candidates must possess:
B.A./B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
3 to 5 years of applicable industry experience; consulting field experience preferred
GIS development experience using Esri's suite of products preferred
Any combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered
Ideal candidates will have the following skills and experience:
Proficiency in JavaScript and JQuery required
Mobile development experience with iOS or Android a plus
Proficiency in developing windows and web applications and services
Familiarity and experience with Esri's ArcGIS for Server, ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS is preferred
Experience analyzing needs and developing applications
Proficient with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server and Oracle)
Experience with VB.Net, C#.Net, ASP.Net a plus
Experience with Python a plus
Excellent communication skills (oral and written), a desire to interact with a team and clients; great all-around people skills
Good organizational skills, ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-pressure, challenging work environment
IT administration skills, including hardware and software configuration and installation, server management and networks
Excellent at problem solving, and ability to think outside of the box; genuinely excited and enthusiastic about learning and pushing technical limits and finding new solutions
