DescriptionSr. Accountant needed for manufacturing company in the Redlands area.Sr. accountant to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities. Responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information.ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure a redundant process backup is in place for every critical operation:month & year end closingposting open batches for AR, AP, PO, IM, SO, CR, and CMaccounts payable/receivablecash receiptsgeneral ledgerpayroll and utilitiesrevenue and expenditure variance analysischeck runsfixed asset activityReconcile Balance Sheet and Income Statement each monthMonitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statementsEstablish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principlesCoordinate and complete annual auditsImprove systems and procedures and initiate corrective actionsAssign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracyEstablish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactionsCreate new internal accounting corporate policies and maintain existing policiesDevelop monthly and quarterly accounting reports for management and executive teamsImplement and monitor month, quarter and year-end closeout accounting schedulesMaintain high level of accuracy in the use of resources through proper monitoring and efficient analysis of the accounting department’s activitiesEnsure precise and opportune periodic, quarterly and annual ledger closeEnsure the timely coverage of all monthly payments, bills and receivables reportingMake sure the correct and appropriate dispensation of constructive pay transactionsKeys:BS/BS DegreeFour (4+) years or related experienceMBA or CPA a plus but not requiredMonth-end, G/L reporting / recsFixed Assets, Inventory Analysis, - some light budgeting & forecastingIFRS a plus.
