You create and execute strategies that result in sustainable value creation that delivers measurable results.Director Financial Planning, Reporting, and AnalysisThis position reports to the Vice President and Controller of the Aeronautics Systems Sector and will have overall responsibilities for sector financial planning, reporting and accounting.

Lead a team of 40 professionals that are responsible for the Aeronautics System Sector's planning, accounting, and financial reporting functions for both the sector and each of the Divisions

Responsible for preparation of the Aeronautics System Sector's financial statements in accordance with US GAAP

Review and consolidate the Sector's Long Range Strategic Plan and monthly financial forecasts

Evaluate technical accounting and planning implications of transactions and other significant events

Lead the sector's compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls, including the assessment of existing controls for appropriateness, the need for new controls, and the evaluation of control deficiencies

Review program estimates at completion and profitability packages to ensure compliance with company policies, and assess timing of net earnings adjustments and identification of risks/opportunities

Review conclusions on revenue recognition methodology in accordance with ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers

Implement new accounting standards at the Sector in coordination with the Corporate Office

Coordinate with the Government Accounting and Rates and Budgets organizations to ensure appropriate accounting for transactions

Identify and lead the implementation of process improvements resulting in more efficient and higher quality outcomes

Support the Sector CFO and Controller with the preparation of Executive briefings and other ad hoc analysis

Support the implementation of SAP upgrades and implementations, including participation in the planning and testing processes

Lead coordination of both internal and external audits

Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting, or related field, and 9 years of financial planning, reporting and accounting experience.Prior management experience this is including leading leaders.Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Certified Public Accountant, prior experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry, familiarity with Hyperion Financial Management and SAP software, and "Big 4" public accounting firm preferred.Secret clearance preferred Top SecretNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
