Energize your career at Exelon!PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONThe Resource Assessment Manager is responsible for modeling site resource energy volumes against initial and on-going plant performance and managing the systems which perform the modeling. Models the energy output as it relates to Renewable Plants: solar, wind, gas digester, and storage models. Reports information up through project finance portfolio oversite management and Exelon leadership. The Resource Assessment Manager will also manage model updates, software & hardware utilized in measuring inputs to modeling systems, tracking resultant improvements based on new technology implementation and power output modifications. A strong controls and SCADA system working knowledge will be required. Responsibilities will also include regional support of technical issues and control systems in the solar and digester technologies; specifically, server hardware, Cisco, and Schweitzer maintenance planning, scheduling, and overall health will also be a responsibility. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Direct, plan and coordinate reporting for modeling systems and software for plant operations.
Responsible for the organization and direction of all maintenance work regarding field systems that provide input for modeling hardware/software; working with field staff to execute.
Report annual and quarterly energy performance against Plant models to Project Finance Partners and Exelon Leadership.
Support controls and engineering systems for Solar and Digester plants.
Communicate with other internal and external departments to resolve plant issues, achieve goals and maximize use of resources.
Ensure the development and implementation of daily and weekly schedules.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
POSITION SCOPE
Position reports to Renewables Tech Manager
Provide industry guidance by reporting plant generation performance to Banking Partnerships and Exelon Leadership
Direction and approval of design changes affecting the plant energy models, reliability, performance, and safety of personnel and/or equipment
Up to 25% travel
Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
BS in engineering with minimum 8 years professional experience
OR
Minimum of 12 years power plant (or related) experience with 2 years of supervisory/management experience in Modeling, SCADA Systems, Engineering or Project Management
Demonstrated technical knowledge of modeling software
Knowledge of Independent Engineering models associated with Project Financed assets
Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of complex projects with conflicting priorities
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills at all organizational levels
Demonstrated leadership ability of high-performance work teams
Demonstrated knowledge of SCADA and control systems
Demonstrated PC skills including knowledge and proficiency in MS Office Suite products
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree in business, engineering or related field
Multi-industry technical experience
Staff Maintenance OR Operations OR Engineering experience
Multi-departmental experience
Previous experience leading technical contractors
