Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Space Vehicle Systems Engineer. Space Vehicle Systems Engineer for a high priority, cross-sector program that is currently in the post-launch and on-orbit support phase. The Space Vehicle Systems Engineer will be responsible for providing support to operators with respect to the overall Space Vehicle level health and safety during on-orbit operations. The program has high visibility as the staff are frequently asked to prepare materials for and interact directly with sector leadership, suppliers, and USG government customers. The Space Vehicle System Engineer will be integral to these interactions and will be responsible for: being the primary point of contact for the Bus supplier, reviewing/trending bus and payload telemetry, troubleshooting on-orbit Space Vehicle issues (as required), owning and operating the Space Vehicle tool, coordinating and performing technical analysis for modifying Space Vehicle CONOPs, as well as providing inputs/recommendations to daily planning meetings, working groups, and review boards. The Space Vehicle Systems Engineer will work with the Payload System Engineer, the Lead System Engineer, Program Manager, and cross-sector collaborators. Occasional (irregular) travel to Colorado and/or Washington D.C. is required (< 1 trip/month each lasting a few weekdays).NGLinkedASBasic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited university in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 9+ years of experience in Systems Engineering OR

Master's degree from an ABET accredited university in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering OR

PhDfrom an ABET accredited university in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 4+ years of experience in Systems Engineering

Candidate must have and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government DoD SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years.
