Northrop Grumman is looking for you to join our team as a Software Engineering Manager 2 - Sub-Project Manager out of Redondo Beach, CA supporting our Payload and Ground System Division for Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP). What You'll get to Do: The Integration and Support Group (ISG) has an immediate need for a Sub-Project Manager (SPM) in the Information Technology field. As the SPM, you will supervise a team of about ten System Engineers and Administrators. This team performs computer system buildup, OS/COTS integration, configuration tuning, Security compliance, and performance testing for multiple development programs using predominately Linux, VMware, and NAS storage. You will be responsible for ensuring appropriate resources are available to meet program schedules and deliverable requirements . Your scope will range from COTS product evaluations, HW/SW system builds, system administration, maintaining equipment throughout the life cycle, and support of management meetings and reviews. You must possess an in-depth technical understanding of Linux and VMware. Ultimately, you will be responsible for directing team members to perform tasks across multiple programs, setting priorities, meeting deliverable schedules, and working within budgets. This position requires coordination and interfacing with internal and external Customers, CAMs, SPMs, and Program Management. Finally, you must have the ability to complete tasks with minimal direction and mentor junior engineers. What does success look like?
