A large financial transactions platform company is looking to bring on a Principal Big Data Engineer to their team. This company's platform allows businesses to connect with their customers in providing a way to connect, communicate, and transact seamlessly. As a Principal Big Data Engineer, you will be leading the charge in migrating their old legacy data pipelines and warehouses to an updated stack within their Google Cloud Platform environment while implementing their new big data tooling used throughout this division. Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with Python coding
- Big Data tooling experience (Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce, etc.)
- Experience with database tooling in SQL, PostgreSQL and BigQuery
- Streaming and messaging experience (Kafka, ActiveMQ, Spark)
- Experience working within one Cloud environment (Google Cloud Platform recommended)
- Architecture, design, and implementation experience
- Experience working with Flume for data streaming
- Experience in data: ETL pipelines and warehousing
- 25% Architecture, Implementation
