Director Business Development, Search & EvaluationWe are still in the early stages, focusing on developing novel, custom medicines to impede high-value frontier targets in RAS-dependent tumors. RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress distinct RAS protein oncogenic variants as well as RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination therapy techniques are both in the company's research and development pipeline. You will join the other outstanding researchers on the Bayside Solutions team in their steadfast commitment to patients with tumors that have RAS signaling system mutations.The Opportunity: Key contributor to our company's business development efforts in search and evaluation, due diligence, and execution of preclinical through clinical stage to regulatory approval. Business development opportunities across therapeutic areas.

  • Identify, evaluate, and execute business development opportunities in oncology therapeutic area with a focus on cutting-edge science across different modalities to enhance and/or expand our company's pipeline.
  • Responsible for support of senior business development team members in the conduct of deep scientific and clinical due diligence, the quality of formal due diligence output, and the integration of internal subject matter expert input and senior management review and approval.
  • Support and contribute to business development strategy with discovery and clinical development leadership.
  • Collaborate with preclinical, clinical, and operations team, as well as commercial business development colleagues to ensure alignment between activities and business development needs relating to the pipeline.
  • Analyze the full range of data and support cross-functional due diligence on inbound and outbound licensing and business development opportunities (from discovery through filing).
  • Provide thorough and timely assessments and updates to appropriate management levels to ensure efficient communication and seamless cross functional collaboration.
  • Work closely with transaction leads, legal, commercial, and financial analysis team to ensure relevant deals of highest priority are being advanced and executed.
  • Manage a portfolio of complex business development projects serving as the scientific contact for potential licensing, acquisition, collaborations, co-development agreements, and strategic alliances across therapeutic areas.
  • Individual contributor role.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
  • MD or PhD in relevant scientific discipline.
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in the biopharma industry with comprehensive understanding of drug discovery and development and a broad knowledge of the field.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience working in and a deep knowledge of oncology, including immuno-oncology.
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in business development or related experience and an established network in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying, evaluating, and executing significant business development deals and partnerships that have resulted in substantial impact.
  • Thorough understanding of industry trends and competitive landscape with strong business acumen and ability to translate scientific and technical information to frame attractive business opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, critical-thinking, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly developed organizational skills, operational skills, and ability to understand the content of and memorialize interactions potential partners.
  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to influence others to reach common goals as well as act independently.
  • Must possess the executive presence to facilitate the decision-making process among Senior Executives.
  • Self-motivated, attention to detail, and proven ability to work well on teams.
