(GCD) organization leads the development of the strategic marketing direction
of key assets in AbbVie’s pipeline. We have an exciting opportunity for a
Global Commercial Development Director, Solid Tumors.
TheGlobal Commercial Lead (GCL)provides
leadership and support in key activities and projects initiated by the cross
functional Global Commercial Team and Asset Leadership Board. This position
operates across the various functions and regions in the Oncology organization,
and within the AbbVie. This position requires strong strategic and analytical
thinking, core pharma marketing skills, interpersonal and communication skills,
someone who is a self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities, has
attention to detail, can collaborate across the enterprise, and will learn from
and improve upon existing processes and develop/implement new processes, where
appropriate.The positionwill be based inour
California - Redwood City Location.Key responsibilities include:
Drive global leadership for assigned SolidTumor assets on key areas which may include:
Maintain updatedperspective on evolving marketplace, including new competitive entrants,diagnostics, Payer strategies, and regional differences. Understand andmitigate risks associated with competitive events.
Develop market andcustomer insights to shape critical success factors and global strategies,ensuring clarity on scenarios that could impact successfulcommercialization.
Lead earlycommercial plan to optimize product approval and market introduction anddrive asset positioning built on target product profile, key claimsand documented market insights.
Partner withclinical development and medical teams and regions to develop lifecycleindications to maximize asset value and develop commercial assessments.
Coordinate onglobal pricing strategy work with market access function.
Lead GlobalCommercial Team for assigned Solid Tumor assets.
Leadcommunications efforts around data readouts, product milestones, and keycongresses.

inclusive and transparent in all he/she does.Basic:
10+ years of experience in a similar rolein Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry
Advanced degree (MBA or PharmD) ispreferred
Demonstrated experience with Solid Tumorsis required
Pharmaceutical, biotech, or consultantfirm experience is required
Previous Commercial Development, PipelineManagement, Marketing and/or Consulting roles
Strong analytical skills;ability to synthesize and evaluate information, draw conclusions and makerecommendations
Strong communication skills
Presentation skills across a variety oforganization levels and disciplines, including senior executives
Experience with matrix-based teams andproject management. Strong collaboration/relationship-building skills andability to engage across multiple functions.
Excellent command of MS Excel and MSPowerPoint
Self-starter, and proactively driveprojects toward successful completion
