job detailsDo you have experience working in quality assuranace in a fast pace environment? Are you looking for a new position that will allow you to develop your skills and grow? Do you do your best work when you are hands on? We are currently hiring for quality assurance positions in a local packing house. The application process itself only takes a moment, and if you’re qualified, we’ll get back to you promptly.salary: $15.5 - $15.5 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 6 AM - 2:30 PMeducation: No Degree RequiredResponsibilitiesAble to work in and out of cold storage, Must have good attendance, Must be bi-lingual. Ensure compliance and record keeping for all mandated quality checks, testing and sampling activities; Inspect packed and stored fruit to ensure specifications are met; Report quality results and issues with operations and management; Work with appropriate personnel on corrective action when product does not meet specifications; Evaluate returned product and communicates results of internal evaluation to sales, operations and management; Assist outside inspectors (export, bird dogs, etc.) in inspecting their loads; Assist with set-up and evaluation of technical projects; and perform all tasks, duties, and special projects as assigned.The essential functions of this role include:working in a non-temperature controlled environment
manual lifting up to 50lbs
standing for 8 hours at one time
working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
working weekends
