The IT Service Management team is seeking an Outbound Product Manager to focus on helping the team drive product strategy and for communicating the exciting things we’re doing on our development teams to internal and external stakeholders.The Outbound Product Management is a strategic and encompassing role by contributing to the overall product vision, integrated IT portfolio products, GTM expertise, and team leadership. Product Manager in this space will be the unifying force behind product strategy and enablement execution, combining feedback from sales, marketing, development, architecture, customers and prospects to set the strategic vision and lead the execution on innovation, serving current customers, features and products. Some background in building content for IT products is ideal, as is some working knowledge of the ServiceNow solutions. Networking skills are a must to communicate and articulate the value of requirements within our internal and external communities.YOUR TEAM:Outbound Product management team within ITSM business unit supports the GTM strategies, enablement, Product Council and other external facing customer engagements. Outbound Product Management team will work closely with inbound product management, product marketing, solution consultants, professional services and customer/partner experience teams to evangelize the overall ITSM value proposition and provide insights into future directions of our portfolio. Our team has multiple customer facing Councils and other product related focus. Our customer base is growing, and we need help building strong relationships with our customers and partners for long-term growth!what you’ll be doing: Job Description:
Work closely with teams to formulate our product details and GTM activities. Position features targeting adoption use cases, throughout a cross sectional set of IT capabilities and features.
Review multiple collaterals and work alongside to identify release & release pipeline documents and artifacts. Develop technical product usage collateral, e. g. 1-pagers, usage videos, best practice guides.
Deliver resources to support adoption through various channels, training, trailhead, blogs, open source and internal proof of concepts.
Balance product vision with partner and customer feedback, prioritizing across a diverse set of inputs and constituents.
Identify value opportunities for ServiceNow Product team to improve the process.
Provide enhancement and roadmap recommendations to the inbound PM team.
Conduct demonstrations of the product, both standard and tailored to prospects and existing customers.
Strong people leadership skills to lead diverse global Product Management team
Influence the product backlog based on feedback from customers and the sales organization
Engage with our partner and customer communities to drive customer enthusiasm and product adoption. Working closely with key customers to envision, plan and execute along with assigned architecture and consulting resources.
Qualifications
BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines or equivalent experience in technical leadership roles.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in engineering or product management with expertise in enterprise / PaaS environments.
Proven ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams to execute against a plan.
Well-developed leadership, management, and strategic-thinking skills, with the ability to excite and lead others.
Understanding of the enterprise PaaS products, customers, partners, and competitors.
Excellent organization and communications skills, with experience communicating across groups with varying degrees of technical background.
Experience presenting to executive leadership, participating in the sales cycle, and handling sensitive customer escalations.
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
