We are looking for a proactive, expert individual to join a highly collaborative and fast paced software team committed to developing next generation software products.The Software Business Analyst, working with the Senior Manager, Product Management, will define and detail business specifications, application functionality, workflow requirements and perform business testing and will be the extension between product management and software development. You will be working in a team environment with business and technical resources as well as third party vendors. You will possess strong business relationship skills and a broad experience across a complex matrix organization.What will you do?
Serve as the main liaison between the business users and technical teams by planning and conducting the analysis of sophisticated business processes and business applications
Coordinate the gathering of user requirements by working with user groups to resolve issues, assess user needs, and recommend changes that improve productivity and efficiencies within existing applications
Develop documentation including, but not limited to, business requirements, design documents, use cases or user stories, workflow, training needs, and other documentation as needed
Identify and document the functional requirements vital to address business objectives, use cases and business rules
Identify, design and document system specifications including user interfaces, system navigation, interfaces to external applications, security, reporting and data conversion
Maintain a continuous improvement culture by recommending and driving improvement efforts to internal processes, cost optimization and automation opportunities through ongoing data analysis
Work with application teams to ensure alignment to established timelines, as well as the planning and execution of agreed upon project roadmaps
Plan, conduct, and direct the analysis of complex business issues
Coordinate and support beta/user acceptance testing programs
Coordinate Documentation and Training

How will you get here?Education/Experience & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years of relevant work experience
Experience in an analytical role
Basic project management skills and understanding of project management lifecycle required
Software development background or understanding
Software development lifecycle knowledge
HLA experience highly desired
Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of domain experts, managers, and executives
Experience with eliciting, defining, and documenting user requirements, including identifying gaps in requirements resolving inconsistencies, and prioritizing requirements
Comfortable managing projects and timelines within a complex matrix environment & able to effectively lead a meeting
Able to work independently & possess strong time management skills
Results driven with an excellent attention to detail
Effectively manage and navigate intra-departmental relationships and work in assigned teams and groups as required

Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in California is $83,300.00-$115,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
