Desktop Support Technician Location: Rocklin, CA Duration: 6 months
Kelly Technology is currently recruiting for a Desktop Support Technician to resolve support requests and troubleshoot performance issues. The idea candidate will have experience reimaging laptops, updating 365 and performing hardware swap outs.Job Duties- Resolve second level support Help Desk requests and incidents
- Set up, configure, and support internal hardware and software applications
- Maintain software configurations and computer hardware; troubleshoot performance issues
- Record all troubleshooting steps within the Support Services ticketing system
- Initiate and follow standard operating procedures and supporting documentation; create training materials and mentor junior team members
- Maintain current knowledge of computer technology and make recommendations on new types of equipment and operational methods based on business needs
- Engage in project based assignments on an as needed basis as determined by skill set and overall alignment with a given project
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience supporting a mid to large size IT department; including support services for computer workstation hardware and software, physical set up/break down of workstations, and testing/setup/troubleshooting of computer equipment and peripherals
- Knowledge of Office 365 and VDI preferred
- CompTIA A+ certification and/or Microsoft certification (MCP or higher) strongly preferred
- SME knowledge of PC hardware and software with an emphasis on Microsoft
- Excellent working knowledge of all components of IT infrastructure including desktops, servers, active directory, and wireless devices
- Familiarity with helpdesk processes and trouble ticketing systems
- Exceptional analytical skills
