Are you ready to take on the challenge to help us build the future?A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!The Vegetation Management Business Operations Analysis Specialist (VM Analyst) is in SCE’s Vegetation Management (VM) Resource Planning and Performance Management (RPPM) organization and reports directly to the Reporting and Contracts Manager. The primary purpose of the position is, acting as the single point of contact to develop, manage, and support the invoice process related to invoices received from external contractors for work performed throughout the entire SCE service territory. The invoicing team receives invoices for various types of work performed (tree trimming, tree removal, weed abatement, etc.) In this position you will join the invoicing team and assign, review, research, make decisions and process invoices received from various external SCE contractors.

Responsible for assigning, reviewing and processing a high volume of invoices on a daily basis.

Monitor the Ariba system and ensure invoices are prioritized and processed based on the net terms of the contractor’s purchase order agreement.

Responsible for ensuring invoices received are accurately billed by the contractors, and invoices are submitted timely by the contractors.

Facilitate meetings and collaborate with contractors on a weekly/bi-weekly basis to address invoice questions, discrepancies, status and process updates.

Continuous communication and collaboration with Supply Chain related to contractor agreements, invoices, early payment requests, monthly contractor meetings, and contractor score cards/metrics.

Close collaboration with peers, VM Senior Specialists, VM Management, district personnel, multiple external contractors that are mitigating the risk.

Work closely with the VM Senior Analyst related to the invoice Accrual Process. Work closely with the VM Work Schedulers to validate work is completed accurately/timely based on data in Survey123 in comparison to the invoice units/charges in the Ariba system.

In depth analysis of invoices charges related to the data displayed in Survey123.

Provide Vegetation Management and Senior Specialists with weekly and monthly detailed reporting and on an as needed basis.

QualificationsThe essentials

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an analytical position.

Successful experience working in Ariba/SAP to assign, review process invoices or related types of work.

The preferred

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Must be able to work in a positive, cohesive, team work environment

Experience at a utility, utility contractor, or company that processes invoices, schedule work with the contractor to execute.

Possess excellent problem solving and issue resolution skills.

Must be able to work in a fast paced and highly demanding work environment.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, track status and provide management with reports.

Excellent organizational skills.
