Specialist responsible for ensuring effective administration and

evaluation of the security/integrity program in the Region.

Responsibility includes interpreting and ensuring compliance with

policies and procedures governing the security/integrity of

personnel, office space, equipment, funds and data, in all forms, in

SSA offices, disability state agencies and other components within

the region involved in Social Security programs administration.

Participates in developing operational priorities and long range

plans relating to security in the Region. Involved in implementation

and direction of systems security, program and administrative

integrity, fraud prevention and detection and physical security.

Serves as the liaison with the Office of the Inspector General (OIG)

QualificationsFor GS-11: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized

experience at the GS-09 level, or equivalent. Examples of

specialized experience include: work experience in performing

analytical, planning, advisory, operational or evaluative work in

implementing security program, policies, methods or procedures. This

experience demonstrates ability to develop and implement plans and

instructions to identify and resolve security issues; provide advice

on security program policies; analyze security programs and

operations for trends and make recommendations for solutions; or

provide technical assistance or interpretation of security

guidelines for a program or functional area.For GS-12: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized

experience at the GS-11 level, or equivalent. Examples of

specialized experience include: work experience that demonstrates a

comprehensive knowledge of security programs, systems and procedures

used throughout a Region or cross components/offices for gathering,

processing and storing program, administrative, and personnel data

to comment on security implications and to develop regional guides

to protect the integrity of data; participate in investigations of

suspected fraudulent or inappropriate systems activities; conduct

security and fraud studies and reviews to determine violations and

compliance to set criteria or procedures; and provide technical

assistance or interpretation of security guidelines in a program or
