Roy E. Whitehead, Inc., a well-established commercial subcontractor in Riverside, CA is hiring. We are working with many of the top general contractors in California including McCarthy Building Companies, DPR Construction, Turner Construction, The Whiting-Turner Contracting Co, Oltmans Construction, MATT Construction, BNBuilders, Swinerton Builders, The Austin Company, and Clark Construction. We are either currently working on or have worked projects for Amazon, Facebook, Google, Netflix, YouTube, Nike, Best Buy, Home Depot, Target, Disney, Legoland, FedEx, UPS, Living Spaces, Ashley Furniture, Behr Paint Co., Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, Toyota, Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, General Mills, CitiBank, Bank of America, Kaiser Permanente, LLUMC, Scripps Health, UCLA, UCI and UCR.

We are looking to hire an individual to train as Project Engineer in the Doors/Frames/Hardware Division. A minimum of 3 years experience in the commercial construction industry is required. Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications would be highly beneficial. A college graduate with a bachelor's degree in a related field is required. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is necessary, especially Excel, Outlook and Word. Someone who is well-organized, detail-oriented and has excellent computer skills would be an ideal candidate. Most importantly, one must be a motivated team player with good customer service skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done in order to be successful at this position.

This is an immediate opening that we are seeking to fill as soon as possible. Starting base salary for Project Engineer is $48,152 annually plus bonuses based on project profitability. Base salary increases every 6 months over a three year period at which point one reaches the position of Project Manager. Total base salary when one reaches Project Manager at 3 years is $57,876 annually. Bonus potential for Project Managers is very high. Average total compensation (salary + bonus) for experienced Doors/Frames/Hardware Project Managers was over $90K in 2019. Compensation also includes paid holidays, company cell phone, 401K matching, and full healthcare coverage (no out-of-pocket cost other than co-pays) for employee, spouse and dependents.
