Job Description

We are looking for high energy, motivated HR Professionals to join our team. As a HR Generalist you will partner to align business objectives with employees and management within the retail division and corporate headquarters.

  • Develop a daily routine in support a diverse employee population. Use varied methods of communication to reach a remote population to engage employees and promote relationship building and efficient ways of working.
  • Works closely with the leadership team to support initiatives, KPI’s and compliance with policy, employment and labor laws. Work with HR, Payroll and Operations teams to administer the company programs; evaluate personnel actions for compliance and accuracy and provide policy guidance to managers.
  • Provides input on business unit workforce planning, structure, staffing alignment, and other efforts.
  • Coach, mentor and develop Team Members to build capability for collaboration and partnership.
  • Investigate, document and resolve common employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective findings, as necessary. Interviews complainant and witnesses as necessary and makes recommendations. Escalates matters that may need legal review or additional input at a senior management level
  • Responsible for delivering on-boarding and pre and post-employment requirements.
  • Provide FMLA and Disability administrative support
  • Manage hourly payroll
  • Manage temp labor relationships
  • Other projects or duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university a must; Master’s degree is a plus
  • Minimum of two-year experience in a Human Resources related profession.
  • Bilingual (Spanish).
  • Possess updated knowledge of employment laws and practices.
  • Skilled communicator with a strong ability to build relationships to drive organizational change.
  • Ability to take initiative, set priorities, learn quickly and take ownership of assigned projects and initiatives. The person must be able to work alone on a broad variety of projects. Must demonstrate sound judgment when making decisions
  • Must maintain confidentiality in recording keeping, private documents and internal controls.
  • Proven ability to work within constraints as well as challenge status quo.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis.
