Overview: Senior IT Project Manager (PM III) is a Senior IT professional with a strong understanding of formal project management practices and information technology industry practices. This person should have a solid track record of project management success within IT Infrastructure and a passion for delivering quality. Responsibilities:
- Manages multiple medium and large sized Infrastructure projects that are complex in nature.
- Responsible for project deliverables, monitoring, communicating status & issues to multiple stakeholders; including but not limited to, project teams, engineering teams, executives, directors, managers, etc
- Responsible for change management within the projects/efforts they manage.
- Plans, monitors, and tracks delivery of quality and takes corrective action as appropriate.
- Adheres to Infrastructure PMO project lifecycle
- Plans and executes pre and post project implementation
- Position reports to the Infrastructure PMO Manager within Technology Solutions.
- 5 + years of demonstrated formal project management experience within IT. (i.e. drive schedule, project planning, resource allocation, scope, stakeholder management, etc.).
- 7-10 years preferred Expert use of established project management methodologies/tools to develop and execute technical project plans including – work plans, schedules, milestones, critical paths, project scope, technical architecture.
- Has an understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity and is able to drive discussions surrounding both.
- Understanding the areas of data analysis, application integration, software testing, systems analysis and design, systems development, troubleshooting and problem solving on problems/projects of diverse scope and high complexity Proficiency in project management and Microsoft office software is a must (Excel creating pivot tables, conducting data mining and analysis, V-lookups, etc.)
- Ability to run projects using multiple methodologies
- Has a passion for problem solving, is proactive in everything they do and is a master of collaboration.
- Exceptional business communication, written and interpersonal skills; must be able to lead conference calls, web sessions, face to face meetings and video conferencing Team focused with the ability to work independently, and influence without direct authority
- Customer focus with a positive can-do attitude, and the drive to roll the sleeves up and dive in
- Ability and drive to contribute to process improvement and project management maturity
- Results driven with the drive to deliver and lead project teams to success Ability to work extended hours if/as needed (i.e. implementation calls, facilitating troubleshooting sessions) Demonstrated excellent communication skills that includes formal and informal delivery (written, inperson, presentations).
- Demonstrated ongoing professional development in the field of project management
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 7-10 years of demonstrated formal project management experience within IT. (i.e. drive schedule, project planning, resource allocation, scope, stakeholder management, etc.)
