Job Description
The Program Coordinator has a responsibility to coordinate the variety of services including, but not limited to:
- Assist the Program Director in maintaining consistency in programming
- Carry out the responsibilities and duties of the Direct Support Professional (DSP) during all direct care shifts when necessary
- Individual care
- One-on-one training of staff
- Communication with staff and interdisciplinary team members at their primary site
- Individual finances
- Recreation
- Program Services
- Educational/Vocational programs
- Documenting and follow-up of individual and program related issues such as ISP reports
- Health care and nutrition
- Facility management
The program coordinator reports directly to the Program Director
Qualifications
Must haves:
- Be at least21 years of age
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to pass a background check
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in working with developmentally disabled adults and/or equivalent experience
- Have basic computer knowledge
Preferred but not required:
- At least 1 year of prior experience in this (or related) field
- Have prior experience supportingindividuals with developmental disabilities, such as intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy
