Email a FriendSaveSaveApply NowPosition Description:Provide the best possible service to customers of the Electronics, Interconnects and Packaging BU. Manage proposal and order transactions with customers. Close on sales opportunities. Maintain records in compliance with company requirements. The Customer Service Representative coordinates/interacts with customers, operations, compliance and the supply chain.

Receive RFQ’s (Requests for Quotations) and provide quotations to prospects and customers within established guidelines together with the current Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Prepare supporting documentation (e.g. component costing or historical comparisons) for in-process quotations prior to pricing and signature

Follow-up quotations for repeat (previously made) items directly with customers with telephone or written communications, overcome objections and close on sales.

Receive purchase orders from customers, ensure compliance with company quotations or Long Term Agreements (LTAs) and accept/process on behalf of the company.

Process amendments to orders

Provide customer with written acknowledgments of orders and amendments, together with the current Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Ensure copies of external communications with customers, especially quotations and acknowledgments, are communicated to sales managers and manufacturer’s representatives

Communicate and cooperate with other company departments in pursuit of expedited deliveries and reduced lead-time commitments.

React to customer driven production schedules on LTAs in compliance with the terms of those agreements.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or significant years of experience

Experience in the personal selling process, especially overcoming objections and closing on a sale.

Expertise and accuracy in computer data entry

Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to motivate colleagues to work within tight time frames and simultaneously manage several projects in support of customer and business needs

Highly developed personal organization and time management skills.

Ability to work under pressure in an environment of changing priorities.

Ability to deal with conflict in a professional and constructive manner.

Ability to participate in group meetings.

Intermediate to advanced computer skills in the use of Microsoft word, excel and ERP or MRP systems.
