You’re a critical piece of the solution.About the Job…This position will be a Financial Analyst (Associate Specialist) within the Operational Finance organization. The successful candidate will work closely with our Advisors and Senior Advisors in managing the SCE capital operating plan process, developing monthly performance reports to senior executives, and performing various financial planning and analysis tasks in support of capital expenditures, including regular interfaces with Organizational Unit Finance teams and the Treasurers organization.Things You Will Be Doing…

Builds detailed financial analyses and reports, primarily utilizing Excel and PowerPoint.

Utilizes existing budget models and methodologies and applies financial modeling and formulas to data.

Coordinates the consolidation of enterprise level variance analysis versus approved plans.

Gathers, documents, analyzes, draws conclusions, and presents recommendations on data and information to department and division management.

Plans or assists in presentations and implementation strategies based on complex analyses.

Influences decision making consistent with organizational authorization levels, having a minor to moderate impact on department or company.

Effectively works independently & within a team environment.

QualificationsQualifications You Need…

Must have graduated in the past 24 months or will graduate by December 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or similar field.

Experience with quantitative and/or financial analysis.

Experience in Microsoft Excel.

Other Stuff That Will Set You Up for Success…

One to three years of experience in the field of financial analysis.

Experience using VBA and SQL.

Experience utilizing and developing financial models.

Experience with forecasting and performing cost benefit/trend analysis.

Experience building reports and ability to track, analyze, and maintain the accuracy and integrity of large amounts of data using Excel, Access, and other database software.
