Customer Service is dedicated to operational excellence and innovative thinking through our workforce in our call center, field operations, billing and payment center, outage and demand-side management and other service offeringsAbout the Group:The Engineering Services (ES) organization within SCE’s Customer Programs & Services (CP&S) manages technology assessment programs, provides technical support, analysis, quality control (QC), and measurement & evaluation for SCE’s Demand Side Management (DSM) program portfolio and maintains the laboratory and testing environment.SCE’s Engineering Review & Analysis (ERA) group is responsible for the development, quantification, maintenance, and quality assurance of energy efficiency (EE) engineering data that are used to support activities and measure achievements for SCE’s customer-facing EE programs. EE programs are a primary tool addressing California’s aggressive GHG mitigation policies.About you:

The job:The Analyst position provides guidance and assistance to the project team and manager, with minimal and/or general instructions, in planning, organizing and analyzing data/documents; making recommendations and developing and formatting information for communications and presentation, implementing and supporting recommendations, and ensures integration amongst the program and company processes and controls. The Analyst will support the group’s cost/budget, resource and scheduling, and overall performance. The position is highly relationship oriented and requires the Analyst to acquire and track information from various systems and organizations within the Company to meet time-constrained deadlines.The day to day:

Administers, tracks, and reports key activities of workpaper development; workpapers describe the engineering algorithms, methods, and assumptions used to estimate the energy and demand savings that results from the installation of a measure or group of measures (deemed ex ante measure savings).

Administers, tracks, and reports key activities of customized project reviews; customized projects a site-specific energy efficiency projects with engineering algorithms, methods, and assumptions which require SCE Technical Review and approvals.

Creating, managing and disbursing reporting of status, progress, volume, performance (aging, cycle time), etc. to meet CPUC compliance and internal requirements

Compilation of quality control and quality assurance metrics and support of Monthly Feedback/Reports for CP&S programs

Analysis of budgets, cost reports, invoices and other financial data for ERA-managed projects and serves as the primary point-person for various data requests

Coordinate project activities and facilitate meetings

Develop and maintain department policy, procedure, process flows and training collaterals

Manage, track and report on project quality and timeliness

Prepare presentations using spreadsheet and presentation software tools to communicate data and analysis

Other tasks, as assigned by ERA manager and ERA’s senior engineers

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (preferably with technical or management focus)

Five years of experience in similar position, managing a portfolio of activities for a team

Advanced Experience with:

MS Excel (Pivot Tables and Charts, Macros and VBA Editing, Conditional Formatting),

MS Access (Multiple Table Query, Macro, Importing/Exporting Information, Reports, Data Manipulation with Queries and Filters)

MS PowerPoint (importing spreadsheets, graphs, charts, Diagrams, Graphs/Charts, Slide Transitions, Animations)

Desired Qualifications:

Broad knowledge of project management and operational policies, procedures, and practices.

Experience with energy and/or utility business policies, objectives, strategies, goals, operations and applicable governmental laws and regulations.

Strong interpersonal skills with proven record of effective collaboration and cross-functional alignment.

Intermediate/basic level use of Microsoft Word, Visio and Project.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

You should know:

The primary work location for this position is Rosemead, CA; however, the successful candidate may also travel occasionally to state agency related meetings as needed.
