We support this effort by working to meet customer expectations. Customer Service is dedicated to operational excellence and innovative thinking through our workforce in our call center, field operations, billing and payment center, outage and demand-side management and other service offerings.We are currently looking for two new Sr. Project Managers to join our Building Electrification (BE) team. One will be focused on the development of electrification programs for existing residential and commercial buildings and the other one will be focused on the overall BE program strategy, planning and market development for both new and existing buildings.The job is…As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide vision, innovation, and direction, project management, cross-organization coordination/functionality for SCE’s Building Electrification (BE) initiative. The ultimate objective is to develop BE programs targeting multiple segments in the residential and nonresidential markets while carefully managing distribution impacts and grid harmonization. Your responsibilities will be directly linked to SCE’s Clean Power and Electrification Pathway where we identify the need to electrify 30% of buildings by 2030 and up to 75% by 2045 in order to meet the State’s greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction goals. The projects lead by you, will have enterprise-wide operational impacts and require new and innovative thinking, as BE is a nascent business. Your role will require a great depth of understanding of the markets we’re targeting, close coordination with the demand-side management (DSM) portfolios within Customer Service, forging new working groups with a variety of areas within T&D and Strategic Planning and Operational Performance, and side-by-side alignment with Regulatory. Project responsibilities include identifying specific objectives and milestones, project team membership, scope, schedule, budget and regulatory impacts. Externally, this position will interface with regulatory agencies such as the CPUC, the CEC, CARB, environmental stakeholders such as NRDC and Sierra Club, other IOUs, industry leadership (e.g. Building Decarbonization Coalition), residential and commercial property managers, and interaction and coordination with the applicable supply chain within these market segments, as well as extreme critics of BE. The responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager not only include the development of the BE portfolio, but also the internal justification for the programs and the enterprise-wide, cross-coordination and collaborative processes.Day to day…

Responsible for managing the development and delivery of projects/programs to further SCE’s BE goals by directing the innovative design, evaluation, analysis, demonstration, implementation, and satisfaction of regulatory requirements of projects/programs.

Provide management and strategic direction to a cross functional project team and is responsible for the project/program development, budget, and schedule.

Provide direction and make strategic decisions regarding changing project/program scope, policy, development, and implementation. Establish goals, negotiates, and develops project plans.

Be the primary technical leader for a broad area of knowledge around BE.

Identify and manage resolution of unusually complex issues related to BE. Issues typically require innovative solutions.

Lead the development of strategic plans and objectives for the organization.

Act as a key consultant to senior management.

Develop and maintain relationships/represents the Company with external stakeholders, such as the CPUC, CEC, CARB, environmental groups, industry organizations, manufacturers, contractors and other supply chain actors, implementers, customers and other stakeholders in order to communicate SCE’s strategic initiatives and its industry trajectories.

QualificationsQualifications you need …

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering, business, technical or related discipline

Ten (10) or more years of project management experience.

Experience designing and launching new customer programs.

Experience managing energy program(s).

Highly proficient with MS Project, Word, Excel, Power Point.

Other details that will set you up for success …

Master’s Degree in engineering, business, or technical discipline.

PMP Certification or project management courses.

Experience running CPUC customer program(s).

Knowledge of CPUC rules and practices.

Demonstrated experience communicating information to various audiences including senior management.

Familiarity with residential and commercial building equipment.

Ability to bring a team together and keep them engaged.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Able to present complex issues in a simple, persuasive, and succinct manner.

Strong adherence to meeting commitments and exemplifying fair and ethical behavior.

Ability to work well with a diverse group of people.
