Position Overview:POSITION SUMMARY:Assistsinthedeliveryofprimaryhealthcareandpatientcare management and is accountable for coordinating the daily operational needs of the Urgent Care Center under direction of the Site Supervisor whom may be on site less than 50% of the time.T Y P ICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Involves standing and walking. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to a maximum of 50 pounds. Requires normal visual acuity and hearing.T Y P ICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, bodily fluids and other conditions common to a clinic environment.E X A M P L E S OF DUTIES: (This list may not include all the duties assigned.)

Communicates professionally and effectively with staff, administration, patients, and public.

Assigns tasks and monitors workflow to ensure completion within established time frames.

Monitors staffing level, reviews time off requests, and consults with Urgent Care Supervisor as needed to ensure adequate coverage.

Reviews payroll reports and verifies accuracy of reported hours. Reports discrepancies to the Urgent Care Supervisor.

Assists in developing and implementing of goals, objectives, and policy / procedures for the department.

Identifies problems, reports them, and makes recommendations for improvement.

Assists in interviewing and selecting staff. Trains/orients and up dates assigned personnel on changes. Provides information and participates in employee performance evaluations.

Attends required meetings and participates on committees as requested.

Enhances professional growth and development through in-service meetings, educational programs, conferences, etc.

Monitors and orders supplies. Ensures equipment is maintained.

Maintains patient confidentiality.

Prepares patients for examination and treatment. Takes patient histories and vital signs.

Gives injections and applies dressings as ordered by physician.

Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.

Assists physicians with preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.

Assists with scheduling or implementing tests, treatments,

Coaches and Counsels employees as needed.

Compiles and condenses technical and statistical data for reports and records.

Assist in other areas of department/clinic as required.

Assist clinicians with Epic pools.

( Essential Function)T h is position requires a person who will dress and act in a professional manner at all times and in all circumstances. The ability to communicate well is emphasized.Qualifications:MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:E du ca t i on :High school graduate.Must have graduated from an accredited program for LVN.Certificate/License:Current LVN License required.E x p e r ie n c e:One year of experience working as an LVNin a medical office for Sutter Health strongly preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of medical practice and care to assist in giving patient care. Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Skill in assisting in a variety of treatments and medications as directed. Skill in taking vital signs. Skill in maintaining records and recording test results. Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to maintain quality control standards. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
