We are looking for someone with a love of accounting who is an expert in Quick Books, Excel, Word and Outlook, with at least 3 years experience in non-profit accounting and/or full-charge bookkeeping. Must have excellent organization and time management skills, a strong attention to detail, trustworthiness, and be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Participates in maintaining general ledger in order to prepare and present the monthly financial statements.

- Performs accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and payroll processing.

- Documents and reconciles financial transactions by entering account information.

- Prepares and verifies journal entries.

- Analyzes information and develops spreadsheet reports to verify information.

- Tracks our grants, creates billings and completes reports.

- Processes payroll, and manages payroll and benefit data for the purpose of ensuring accuracy of records and employee payments.

- Supports Controller with research, compiles relevant documentation needed for accounting functions, and assists with month-end close and audit.

Experience Required:

- AA degree with accounting emphasis.

- 3 years experience, preferably in a not for profit setting.
