If you're motivated, creative, and looking to take your career to the next level, we are seeking a talented and experienced Architectural Job Captain / Architectural Designer to join our healthcare projects division.

Our Sacramento Architectural Design and Planning office is looking to hire an Architectural Job Captain with skills and experience pertaining to the design and construction of healthcare, education, commercial, and retail facilities.

The ideal Architectural Job Captain will be a professional that is a self-starter; bringing energy and leadership to the team; has the ability to multi-task and prioritize; has effective communication skills and is comfortable working with all levels of staff, consultants, and vendors; and most importantly takes pride in work effort and product.

ARCHITECTURAL JOB CAPTAIN / ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER QUALIFICATION:

- Bachelor's degree in architecture or similar field is preferred

- 2+ years of architectural industry work experience working within an architectural office environment

- Proficiency working knowledge of AutoCAD 2018 and Revit, and experienced in BIM modeling

- Past architectural industry experience working on OSHPD 1 and OSHPD 3 healthcare projects or K-14 Education DSA projects are a plus

- Knowledge of Deltek Vision (ideal but not required).

ARCHITECTURAL JOB CAPTAIN / ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The aesthetic, conceptual and planning development for architectural projects.

- Design skills include programming/planning, interior/exterior architectural design, site design and master planning.

- Market-sector specific knowledge of healthcare, education, commercial, and retail projects

- Assisting the Project Leader and Design Director with conducting evidence-based research, creating graphic materials and presentations as required

- Executing architectural planning and design concepts as set forth by the Design Director, while maintaining client expectations

- Preparing complex detailed architectural project drawings with minimal supervision using diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices and advanced techniques

- Performing design computations

- Reviewing project drawings and assists in establishing and maintaining dimensional control.

- Assignments may include higher-level work for training/development purposes

- Validating that code and zoning requirements for assigned segment of project are met.

- Assist with writing reports or specifications for assigned project.

- Participating in client meetings and presentation of creative concepts to clients on behalf of the project team

- Representing the firm, participating as a member of business development teams and in project pursuits.
