Your work will have real-world impact, and you’ll be supported in achieving your career goals.Location/Division Specific InformationNorth America based, Genetics Sciences Group, OEM Licensing and Commercial Supply.How will you make an impact?​The Director, LCS (OEM) Genetic Sciences Segment Leader develops OEM Go To Market strategies, partnership programs and delivers results for several important business units within the Genetic Sciences Group. The assigned businesses are the qPCR Reagents, Genetic Testing Solutions, and Agribusiness business units. The primary technologies underpinning each of these businesses, but not exclusively, are qPCR workflow consumables. The successful candidate understands business at a global scale and has a deep knowledge of IVD markets, IVD product requirements & regulations, product life cycle management, and market drivers by region. This person will have “C” and executive level communication skill and be able to build new long-term OEM partnerships that will have measurable success and growth for the division. They will develop and drive the OEM strategy and collaborate with peers and the global commercial organization. Vital to success in the role is the ability analyze sophisticated issues, develop fact-based recommendations, and lead efforts to adapt existing process to meet market and customer requirements.What will you do?Develop strategies and lead deals for out-licensing and OEM commercial supply.

Collaborate with partners in other enabling functions; Business unit leadership, legal, product management, R&D, manufacturing, finance and accounting.

Collaborate with the field-based business development managers to uncover opportunities and expand deal pipeline.

Develop and nurture business relationships with executives in several markets including human molecular diagnostics, food and animal testing, and other commercial end markets.

How will you get here?Education​B.S. in life science; MBA or M.S. or Ph.D. is a plus.

ExperienceMinimum of 7-10 years of relevant licensing and business development experience, including identification & validation of strategic business opportunities in the Molecular Diagnostics field, as well as a proven track record of relevant completed business development transactions.

Hands-on experience with the molecular biology applications, biotechnology / scientific instrumentation or conditions primarily diagnosed by molecular diagnostics is preferred

Prior experience life sciences market development and commercial sales leadership preferred.

Global business experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesProven business development technical skills (term sheet creation, IP review, profit and loss modeling, quality agreements, supply agreements)

Experience in navigating exciting sales and contract negotiations, alliance management and/or cross-functional team leadership experience.

Prior experience in human IVD market strongly preferred.

Strong leadership, business, technical and negotiating skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills; attention to detail; experience developing financial models and drafting term sheets and contract provisions.

Track record of successfully working with a variety of parties (internal and external) to resolve complex issues and build outstanding solutions.

Can proficiently communicate across diverse international cultures.

Travel up to 25%
