We offer full medical/dental benefits, an annual performance bonus and Paid Time Off!Discover Impactful Work:The Field Service Engineer performs planned maintenance, repairs and other verification/qualification services on a variety of laboratory instruments in the assigned territory. The FSE engages with customers and provides basic instrument services professionally and promptly. Our team is dynamic, ready to help, and make sure everybody is successful!A day in the Life:Provides all services needed for both internal and external customers including but not limited to planned maintenance (PM), repair services, installations, and qualifications.

Emphasis on Flow cytometry support.

Works efficiently and displays understanding, tact, fairness, and technical knowledge in all customer interactions.

Follows all reporting responsibilities of Remote Service Dispatch (RSD), Field Problem Report (FPR), and Field Service Report (FSR) submissions.

Familiar with and follow policies that pertain to the handling of spare parts: ordering, usage, returns, physical count, car stock management, etc.

Maintains their technical proficiency by attending trainings, staff meetings and remaining up to speed on new products, markets, customers and competitors.

Independently completes travel expenses and follows Thermo Fisher travel policies and guidelines.

Carries out Qualification & Validation Products at customer sites as required

Collaborates with internal partners to resolve customer issues and improve processes.

Communicates regularly with management

If need will also help with other duties as required and/or assigned.

Keys to Success:EducationBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Biology, Chemistry or related field required.

Experience1+ year of Flow cytometry experience preferred.

1+ years of experience in a customer-facing role preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesFamiliarity with clinical, diagnostics, and/or another regulated environment

Curiosity about learning and understanding IT systems and processes

Working ConditionsFrequent travel to the customer site is required and ranges from 50-75% of work time.

Works both in the home office as well as in a laboratory environment.

Is required to lift up to 40 lbs.

May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties.

Required to safely work with chemicals and hazardous materials.

Availability to work overtime and flexible shifts.
