Amick Brown is looking for an experienced
Mainframe Application Analyst for our direct client in the public sector.Location: Sacramento, CADuration: 12 months+Roles and Responsibilities- Design, build, test, implement, and maintain software applications using OS/VS Cobol with Report Writer, Software AG Natural/ADABAS, and JCL in a zOS 1.13 Environment
- Develop and maintain online and batch functions.
- Review existing code and provide feedback regarding current functionality
- Strong experience in IBM zOS environments
- Experience developing software applications with OS/VS COBOL
- Experience with Report Writer
- Strong experience with Software AG – Natural & ADABAS Application Development
- Knowledge and skills in the use of TSO, Panvalet, COMPLETE, and FileAid
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain software applications
- Ability to perform effectively both independently and as a team member
- Able to analyze, diagnose and resolve application issues
