We want you to have a sense of belonging and feel valued for your contributions and the perspectives you bring.Summary: The Staff Accountant will support the accounting for construction, supporting RES in portfolios of wind, solar, and storage construction projects in the US and Canada. This position will partner with the finance and operations teams within the wind, solar, and storage businesses, regularly collaborating with various departments in the organization.Requirements:

Facilitates the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, reviewing, and completing all assigned month-end functions.

Handles sales tax exemptions and related government filings.

Experience with IFRS 16 and/or ASC 842 accounting standards.

Assists with overseeing the company fleet, equipment, and property lease accounting.

Manages the A/R process, including supporting project teams to ensure A/R is submitted and approved timely. Tracks and collects documentation on schedule.

Prepares reconciliations and maintains documentation related to the balance sheet accounts.

Evaluates transactions and records to the GL as necessary to ensure the financials and trial balance are accurate and complete.

Researches, produces, reviews, analyses, and issues periodic reports on the general business activity as assigned.

Compiles, reconciles, and invoices intercompany activities.

Reviews analyzes, and re-classes P&L activity to ensure a strong Income Statement.

Assists team in the creation of process documentation.

Assists team in systems implementations and data integrity.

Projects as assigned by Accounting Managers and other team leads within the accounting and finance team.

Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.

Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures.

Presents supports and leads by example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.

Oversees continuous improvement to process documentation.

Assists with system implementations and data integrity.

Researches GAAP to IFRS differences and implements both.

Supports the CFO and Controller in additional projects.

Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action. Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Accounting required.

Master's Degree in Accounting preferred.

CPA preferred.

2+ years of public and/or industry accounting experience required.

1+ years of experience with ERP systems preferred.

Proficient with construction accounting (% complete, job costing, earned value, scheduling, WIP, and other related functions.).

Ability to research GAAP to IFRS differences and implement both

Proficient with Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills.

Leadership skills: supportive, accountable, vocal, bold

Excellent written and verbal communication skills – clearly expressing information via schedules, tables, charts, and commentary to superiors or management.

Team player with a positive attitude

Anticipated base salary range: $74,000 - $87,000The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
