Bakery Maintenance Technician (Day/Graveyard shift)

As a Bakery Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible in providing support to ensure a high level of mechanical expertise to maintain an effective and efficient maintenance service to the various bakery departments. Ensuring that all equipment and machinery is clean, safe, and in compliance with the specifications and GMP practices.

Available Shift- 9am to 5:30pm/ 9pm to 5:30am

Pay- $25-$32/hr. (DOE)

Duties

Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on bakery machinery including mixers, ovens, conveyors, and packaging equipment.

Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters.

Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to diagnose automation problems and implement corrective actions.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and equipment history.

Conduct hydraulic system repairs and service high-voltage electrical components safely following industry standards.

Operate field service tools such as scissor lifts for elevated equipment access; perform welding tasks as needed.

Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime, support manufacturing schedules, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Read schematics and technical manuals to identify issues accurately; perform analysis to determine root causes of equipment failures.

Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending maintenance process enhancements based on analysis skills.

Qualifications

Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility environment; bakery or food production experience is a plus.

Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience with low voltage systems

Proficiency in using schematics, control systems (including PLCs), and CMMS software for maintenance planning.

Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment maintenance, troubleshooting electrical circuits, and analyzing system performance.

Excellent communication skills in English; ability to document work accurately and collaborate effectively across teams.

Analysis skills necessary for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues; experience working with industrial schematics is essential.
