About Wind Harvest International:
Wind Harvest is bringing its H-type, vertical axis wind turbines to turbulent, near-ground wind resources where traditional turbines are unable to secure permits or do not operate well due to wind turbulence. Our answer to this problem is the Wind Harvester.
The Wind Harvester is the culmination of many years of cutting-edge R&D. It is entering
Technology Readiness Level 7 with testing beginning at the UL Advanced Wind Turbine
Testing Facility near Amarillo, Texas in Summer 2021.
Our mid-size wind turbine’s largest market will be the 20% of the world's existing
wind farms that have average annual, mid-level wind speeds exceeding 6.5 meters/sec at 20
meters above ground level. The first target market for the Wind Harvester will be
500kW - 10MW distributed wind projects, usually combined with storage and solar.
The $1.5M raised via Wind Harvest’s recent Wefunder Crowdfunding Campaign is
funding the development of the turbines and the advancement of projects for installation
in 2022. The capital raised and TRL 7 milestones set the company up for international
certification and commercialization of its Wind Harvester turbines in 2022.
Wind Harvest’s ambition is to be the world’s leading developer of technology and
projects for mid-level wind resources.
