This position will be based out of both Stockton and West Sacramento locations. POSITION SUMMARY Handles all facets of the industrial engine and related equipment sales while working with project engineer. Responsible for ordering, tracking, and invoicing of all new equipment and related products. Provides general support to the division by performing the following duties. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Take customer calls and sales requests for sales and rental equipment. Assist with the handling of process of the rental process while coordinating repairs, delivery, and agreements. Work with and assist project engineers. Work with sales on the demo or sale of used equipment. Schedule transportation for all equipment through Central Hauling when necessary. Work with credit department for customer credit authorizations. Work with rental utility/yard person. Evaluate sales accounting (internal invoices, vendor invoices, freight charges, and hauling) for accuracy. Order items from venders, track through shipment/receipt, data entry on computer. Coordinate with manufacturers on lead time, delivery instructions, invoicing, etc. Process all related sales paperwork: vendor payments, customer invoices, salesmen’s commission, factory discount programs, warranty registration, etc. Provide administrative support for the general manager. Research and respond to customer requests (i.e., emissions data). Assisting with rental activities, invoicing, and maintaining rental units in the Stockton yard Other duties may be assigned. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; or two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must have a valid California driver’s license class C or higher and a clean D.M.V. report.
