Job Summary

Energize your career as a Transit Manager, leading the planning, coordination, and oversight of public transportation (light rail) operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient service. In this dynamic role, you will manage a team of transit staff, optimize routes and schedules, and uphold the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction. Your proactive leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and community impact.

Schedule

9:30 PM to 6 AM, all 7 days are open, pick your days of availability

Duties

Oversee daily transit operations, ensuring adherence to schedules, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Lead and motivate a diverse team of drivers, maintenance personnel, and administrative staff to achieve operational excellence.

Foster positive relationships with community stakeholders, local authorities, and customers to promote service quality and responsiveness.

Ensure compliance with all safety standards, transportation laws, and company policies through ongoing training and audits.

Handle escalated customer concerns promptly, professionally, and empathetically to maintain high satisfaction levels.

Prepare reports on daily safety incidents and compliance activities for senior leadership review.

Experience

Proven experience in transit or transportation management with a track record of leading teams in a fast-paced environment.

Strong knowledge of public transportation systems, scheduling software, fleet maintenance practices, and safety regulations.

Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage conflicts, and foster a collaborative work environment.

Demonstrated analytical skills for interpreting operational data and implementing data-driven improvements.

Exceptional communication skills for engaging with staff, community members, government agencies, and stakeholders.

Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining focus on safety and service quality.
