As an Software Engineer/Applications Developer you will use Microsoft SQL Database Server and C# .NET. along with other software applications supported in-house. As an entry level position, the candidate will also configuring commercial off the shelf software from other vendors
Candidate must be able to meet with internal staff and customer representatives to define requirements and create a development specification for approval. Upon approval, the candidate must be able to develop the specified solution, test and provide user documentation sufficient to get customer sign-off
Candidates must be able to work in small, project specific teams and manage multiple development tasks with their priorities based on delivery dates
Duties:
Plans program by studying specifications.
Arranges specifications by developing logical sequence; preparing flowcharts; researching solutions.
Encodes specifications by converting logical sequence and workflow into program language.
Verifies encoding by performing trial runs; modifying code.
Prepares program reference by documenting control language.
Create and run MS SQL Queries and develop SQL based reports
Must be able to read and edit existing VB and C# .NET code
Must be able to pass manufacturer API certification
Skills/Qualifications:
VB and C# .NET and MS SQL
Must possess: Ability to Analyze Information, Problem Solve, Perform Software Performance Tuning, Write Software Documentation
Must possess Attention to Detail, Software Development Fundamentals, Technical Zeal, Independence, Thoroughness
Personal Skills:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment, ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously, ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
Final candidates will be required to develop a small application to demonstrate skills
Must reside within 100 miles of Roseville California
