Currently, we are seeking a full-time Auto Body Paint Prepper for our Rancho Cordova facility, located at 2459 mercantile Dr., Rancho Cordova, CA 95742.
Responsibilities Include:
Assist lead painter in day-to-day paint responsibilities as follows but not limited to:
Following compliant procedures and performing all refinish procedures according to factory specifications and pre collision conditions.
Manage & control materials cost maximizing usage and inventory.
Create and customize paint colors, and ensure all formulations, preparations, top coating and curing meet OEM recommended standards for proper application sequence, timing, and materials usage.
Ability to effectively communicate with lead painters to ensure all operations are followed and completed per manufacturer guidelines.
Plan work procedure and follow work order for all operations listed.
Closely follow Kniesel’s QC SOP to ensure the highest standard of quality.
Prepare paint operations for vehicles according to manufacturer specifications.
Follow all PPG material manufacturing guidelines.
Ensure that all paint operations are complete, all masking is removed, and the vehicle is prepared for reassembly by the designated technician.
Adhere to all regulatory compliance guidelines for hazardous waste disposal.
Comply with Kniesel’s and California's safety rules, guidelines, and standards.
Maintain cleanliness of paint booth and booth filters to ensure organized workspace.
Perform other duties assigned by production or general manager.
Ensure compliance with all paint procedures and perform all refinish procedures according to factory specifications to ensure the vehicle is repaired to pre-accident condition.
Skills/Requirements:

Fluent in reading and understanding English.
Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
Possession of a valid California driver's license.
Proficient in managing multiple tasks and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction.
Capable of comprehending written instructions on estimates, work orders, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Physical ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 20 pounds.
Maintains a professional and well-groomed appearance at all times.
