Our client is one of the largest social media giants in the world. Due to a 5+ year trusted partnership, we are supporting our client's data center growth by adding two contract SiteOps Engineers to our team in Sacramento, California The SiteOps team deploys and maintains all Linux server and network infrastructure located in our production Data Centers. It is our mission to maximize availability of the fleet through the quick deployment and repair of Linux servers and network infrastructure, while supporting growth and minimizing downtime. What You'll Do

  • Install, upgrade and repair servers in a large-scale data center environment
  • Perform infrastructure installation and upgrades
  • Perform basic network connections and troubleshooting
  • Respond to and update tickets in accordance with team procedures
  • Track and escalate trouble tickets to resolution
  • Work closely with cross functional groups in a team-oriented environment
Requirements

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years supporting Linux OS on server-based platforms
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing server-based platforms
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and network technologies
  • Previous experience working in a Data Center environment
  • Established knowledge of MAC OS
  • Experience with JIRA Service Desk considered a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed
  • Demonstrates a positive work attitude
