Department:1010177908 SecurityExpected Weekly Hours:0Shift:Position Purpose:Reporting to the Supervisor Security, Security, this position is accountable for providing basic loss prevention for Saint Agnes Medical Center and is responsible for the prevention of loss for personnel, hospital patients and visitors and the detection of hazardous or unsafe conditions.Job Description Details:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Good written and verbal communication skills, and proven ability to remain customer focused and calm in stressful situations is required.
Ability to work as part of a team is required.
Valid California Driver's License and a good driving record are required.
Current registration with the State of California as a Guard/Patrol Person is required.
Certificate of completion of eight (8) hour mandatory course on Power to Arrest and Weapons of Mass Destruction is required upon hire.
Certificates of completion of sixteen (16) hour mandatory courses on Public Relations, Observation and Documentation, Communications and Liability/Legal Aspects are required within 30 days of hire.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required upon hire.
Training (in compliance with SAMC workplace violence policy) for care of behavioral health/aggressive-combative patients, families, visitors, etc., is required within three months of hire into position and annually thereafter.
Basic knowledge of loss prevention techniques, security, legal systems, and/or social services is preferred.
