Title: Business System Analyst

Duration: 12 Months (With Possible Extension)

Location: San Bernardino, CA

Responsibilities:
  • Strong ability to coordinate project efforts with varying degrees of complexity, deadlines, goals, etc.
  • Strong ability to communicate with executive management, supervisors, colleagues, and customers, including providing presentations and status updates.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional interview sessions to gather and elicit information from functional managers and their staff, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to perform a gap analysis to evaluate the scope and impact of current and future models.
  • Ability to create detailed project documents including but not limited to a Charter, Business Requirements Document, Proposal, Request for Proposals (RFP), Status Reports, etc.
  • Ability to recommend best practices and business process efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, test and implement functional and/or technical solutions to achieve the desired end state.
  • Knowledge of procurement-related tasks, such as product research and comparison tables, as well as an understanding of related documents including quotes, contracts, terms and conditions, etc.
  • Assist in establishing and implementing organizational policies and procedures for department projects, monitor the effectiveness of policies and procedures and make revisions or recommendations as necessary.
  • Provide direction to other project team members on how to successfully manage multiple priorities.
  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with drafting use case scenarios, and test cases.
  • Experience with off-the-shelf software product reviews, and research comparison tables.
  • Experience with procurement processes and related documents.
  • Proficient understanding of Agile tools and Microsoft Project.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or any closely related field.
  • 3 5 years' experience leading multiple complex technology projects, performing business systems analysis, and working with both business and technical stakeholders of the project.
  • Experience with RFP and contracting processes.
  • PMP/CSM/PMI-ACP or equivalent certification.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the claims handling process and/or insurance industry.
