We are partnered with full-service cash and payment services company that is looking for a skilled, passionate Linux System Administrator who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring their Linux eco-system, deploying Linux both in the cloud and across payment terminals.
Responsibilities:- Proactively maintain/develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service
- Engineer systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs
- Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
- Work with the security team on keeping the infrastructure secure
- Work with the Engineering team on automation
- Proactively monitor system performance and capacity planning
- Provide input on ways to improve stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the eco-system
- Minimum 3 of working experience as a Linux Administrator
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or 5+ years of work experience
- In depth knowledge of Linux
- Expert in Shell, and Python scripting
- Strong knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, SFTP, SMTP
- Strong understanding of Linux security: SE Linux, IPTABLES, OSSEC
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Knowledge of MacOS a plus
