Currently seeking Experienced Project-Base Accountant to join a small engineering firm in San Diego!
Responsibilities
Prepare and record journal entries associated to asset, liability, revenue, and expense journal entries by compiling and analyzing account information within a strict deadline oriented environment
Perform internal audits of financials and transactions and correct if necessary
Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting
Maintain Intercompany accounts which includes monthly vouching, billing to/from the intercompany partners, identifying out of balances and correcting the issue within 90 days.
Produce and present accurate financial reports alongside company budgets
Produce labor costing reports
Produce reports for burden rates
Coordinate with 3rd party accountants for tax purposes
Responsible for asset procurements
Handle audits (payroll, workers comp, accounting, taxes)
Provide input on employee costs (benefits, hiring, wages)
Prepare journal entries for concur expenses & payroll
Review employment letters
Maintain HR handbook and policies
Job Requirements
Minimum 7 years' experience in Accounting/Finance
Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance or similar
Confidence in decision making
Confidence in working with higher levels
Great communication and presentation skills
Deltek Ajera or project-based accounting experience
FAR experience
Job costing experience
Excellent MS Office experience especially Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, etc.)
Extremely organized and detailed
