Responsible for performing land surveying duties in the field and in the office for a small land surveying firm, associated with a civil engineering firm, and working on projects in land development throughout San Diego and Southern California by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

- Carry, load, and unload equipment

- Assist with setup of equipment

- Set and identify stakes

- Dig for monuments

- Follows directions from crew chief or supervisor

- Assist on Total Station and GPS Equipment

- Download field survey data

- Process point data in AutoCAD

- Perform online and physical research at agencies

- Research plans, reports, and forms online and physically at appropriate agencies

- Assemble and copy engineering reports

- Scan and file transmittals, letters, and engineering documents

- Complete drop off and pick up of submittal documents at appropriate agencies

- Deliver plan packages, reports, and other engineering documents to client and team members

- Perform CAD drafting tasks as assigned by project engineer, project manager, or owner

- Perform hand drafting tasks as assigned by project engineer, project manager, or owner

- Maintains supplies inventory

- Perform other related duties as assigned

-To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and Data Collection Software.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or an equivalent combination of education or experience.

Applicants must posses a valid driver's license and carry proof of insurance.
