Project Scope: Our client has an immediate need for a Senior Network Engineer with the following skills and experience: Responsibilities:- Configure and install various network devices including routers, switches and firewalls
- Work with project management professionals to develop and deploy both small and large scale projects
- Work in a consulting environment with multiple client needs
- Effectively communicate sophisticated concepts to both technical and non-technical users
- Maintain subject matter expertise in multiple security technologies and disciplines
- Implement network upgrades, green fields and migrations in a timely manner while minimizing impact on users
- Maximize network performance by monitoring and troubleshooting problems before they cause outages
- Ensure that all implemented network projects meet best practice security guidelines
- Write technical reports including suggested resolutions for identified problem areas and perform operational risk assessment
- 5+ years network experience
- Proficiency and technical knowledge with system and network security devices including firewalls, IPS and IDS, VPN appliances, routers, switches, and wireless appliances
- Applied experience with firewalls and network equipment configurations
- Consulting experience with the ability to handle multiple projects
- Any combination of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CCNP, CCNP Security, CCDA, CCIE, CompTIA Network+
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University in the field of Computer Science, Engineering, or Telecommunications or equivalent additional years' experience.
