The Field Applications Specialist for Leica Biosystems is responsible providing in-field technical applications support for our current and "next generation" range of automated instrumentation and reagents. This position is part of the Field Applications Immunohistochemistry team, and the territory includes San Diego and Orange County and will be remote. Support installations of IHC instrumentation, training and evaluation of antibodies and probes in the region.
Build an in-depth understanding of new product technologies and their applications in a diagnostics Immunohistopathology environment.
Design and perform investigation of tough technical applications while working with Technical Service, Applications Manager and global business units.
Prepare weekly territory status reports to Applications Manager including but not limited to competitive information, product issues, customer issues, target account lists, expense reports and travel calendar as asked by manager
Support Leica in order of Region to achieve sales goals monthly, quarterly, and annually in the Instrumentation and Consumables of relevant product line.
The essential requirements of the job include:
High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent work experience and 1 + years’ Histology laboratory experience in clinical, research, or industrial setting with a practical focus on IHC: including optimization, operation, functionality, and support of both manual and automated IHC instrumentation and related products preferred
Ability to handle the contending priorities of multiple clients: internal and external
Must possess a valid driver's license
Must be willing to travel up to 75%
Proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, SAP)

This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
