You will be responsible for overseeing the District financial management program.ResponsibilitiesRequirementsConditions of EmploymentnullQualificationsGS-09 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted). You may qualify at the GS-0501-09 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. At least one year of full-time specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade GS-07 in the Federal Service performing duties which include: 1) Review financial reports in order to identify problem areas and recommend solutions; 2) Analyze financial obligations and expenditures to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures; 3) Advise management on procurements and/or purchase requests; and 4) Utilize electronic financial systems. OR B. A master's or equivalent graduate degree in an accredited or pre-accredited college or university; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or possession of a LL.B. or J.D degree, if related. Graduate level education must demonstrate the competencies necessary to do the work of the position, examples of qualifying fields include Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, etc. OR C. I have a combination of education and experience as listed above. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
